A nurse on staff lol
Hey-loo!
How are y'all? Me, I'm completely dead on my feet! I've been working non stop for the past 4 days (I can almost hear Eric say: Pfft, I've been working non stop for the past 4 YEARS! lol). Anywho, for someone who has never worked before, it's a big deal. All I can say is YAY MONEY! I have a great little story for everyone! Here goes:
Yesterday, I was working at Tutti Frutti (THE best breakfast restaurant ever) as a hostess, and because I'm studying in nursing when someone got hurt (Sylvie spilt coffee on her hand) they came to see me automatically. I told them that as soon as someone got hurt, they could come see me. After tending to her hand, making sure she was ok, I was back to my spot near the front door. No sooner than an hour later, almost as if I had jinxed it, one of the cooks, Paul sliced his finger prettyyyy bad. Trying to not bring attention to his injury, he bandaged it up pretty quick (and pretty badly) and went back to work. For about 3 minutes. Realizing it was almost dripping, Hannah (the manager) came to get the staff nurse (me!) and asked me to bandage up his finger for him. Well, because I had to clean it, apply pressure, wait for Hannah to go get supplies for the bandage at Pharmaprix and then do the actual bandage, I ended up getting a nice little hour break from hostess duty. And totally LOVED it. I love being able to bring my nursing to work. Yay me. Also, I got to tend to a faint waitress (who hadn't eaten in about 6 hours), making her a piece of toast and getting her some juice. YAY ME!
Anywho, that was my little story!
